Scaffold comes bundled with a JRE or Java Runtime Environment that allows the program to run without the need for a Java installation on your system. In the past, all versions of Scaffold Software came bundled with Oracle Java. Oracle changed the licensing requirements for their Java builds in 2019.
All of our programs either ship with an open version of the Java JDK or were provided to us for distribution. Thus, Scaffold users do not need to worry about having a license for Oracle Java on their system. You are free to download and install any Scaffold Software without a Java license.
